Saline County, AR – Saline County officials are proud to announce that the ribbon cutting ceremony for the long-awaited restoration of the historic Old River Bridge will take place on Tuesday, June 24, 2025, at 10:00 a.m.
Located at the Saline River, the Old River Bridge first opened on July 15, 1891 and served travelers for decades before being taken out of commission on April 12, 1974, when a truck hauling concrete bricks fell through its floor. Now, after more than half a century, the community will once again have the opportunity to cross this iconic structure—ushering in a new era of connectivity and preservation.
